I've only heard limited bits of Yes, my Dad's into them. He's one talented dude, for sure, but I still haven't got right into Yes enough yet to listen to him enough. Other than Yes, I don't think I've heard him much at all.

Wakeman is a genius in his own right, I still don't think many people can touch him, Mabey Emmerson.. but different styles all together.

BTW for those of you who havnt heard him go out and buy Six Wives of King Henry VIII. Its a brilliant Piano/Keyboard album. This guy has the Mini Moog Mastered. Also check out some of his work with Yes on Fragile, Close to the Edge, and Tales from the Topographic Oceans. I notice everyone here loves Jordan Rudess. . .this dudes 65 and he blows him out of the water(no offence to Rudess hes one hell of a keyboard player). Go check him out if you havnt heard him.

Every keyboard player has his own style and method ,, Rick Wakemann is a fully sensible on a piano ,, his taste in the pieces is amazing. Jordan is mainly in Skills specially in the independance of hands he is so powerfull in independance, cannt say he has no senses ,,Rudess may have these beautifull touches in a metal song never approached by another like his solo in Dance of Eternity. However for a fast hand playing a solo that extremely touches at the same time; Kevin Moore, master of the right hand.. try to listen to Bombay Vindaloo (live in the Marquee for Dream Theater) he made an amazing solo as well his lovely solo in Ytse Jam. Anyways there is no best keyboardist every one got a taste. For me the Teacher and Master is Chopin ,,as well as Schubert ,try listening to Winter wind and rain drop prelude for the first and Serenade for the second.

Rick Wakeman is superb. His piano and keyboard work is absolutely fantastic. I have seen him live with Yes, and wow, what a great guy.

Rick Wakeman's Piano and Keyboard work is superior to Emerson's, in my opinion.
