Instead of chord formulas, it should be formulae!

I was looking through the various links and I couldn't find any that would point to my particular question.
I have basically hit a wall in my playing. I can play pretty much as I wish in terms of scales, modes, arpeggios, etc. My issues are coming from picking now. I spent about 3 months building up my scales, modes, and other lick vocabulary but I am having a tough time getting alternate picking on chords and palm muting chords. I can build the chords, but when it comes to switching up the picking or even straight down and up picking as the case with the song I am working on, I tend to lose a ton of time and I can't even get it close to how the song sounds. Is there a proper guide to give me some advice on improving this? I'm really frustrated because I can finally tab songs by ear and learn songs by ear, but I can't play them because once I get to anything involving alternately picked chords or palm muting, I am screwed. |

your problem is alternate picking in general, or alternate picking chords (arpeggios) with palm muting (ex . like steve morse usually does)? |

Hey all,
Figured this was a noob question: What would determine whether I use a Cb major key signature (7 flats) or B major key signature (5 sharps), as aren't they the same thing? Cheers, ER. |

Should the the first post say "Chord Formulas", not "Chord Forumlas"?
