Here ya go

Download the midi file. Run it through Cakewalk, Sibelius, Finale, Encore or whatever music notation software you have that can read midi. Finale has Finale notepad for free download. There you go. There is almost every dream theater song out there on midi. I know I have them. It works pretty but remember a midi file is someone's "interpretation" of a song so sometimes they are not 100% accurate. I hope this helps.

I'm planning on starting up a site soon with the Dream Theater transcriptions I've done... I'll post the link when it's up and I've completed the transcripts I'm currently working on.

The thing about Dream Theater is that they can't be justified by one song... you have to buy an album to appreciate how good they really are... and the albums are too god **** expensive ¬_¬ £30 for Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence... meh. And of course, each album is way different to the rest...

I remember hearing 'To Live Forever' for the first time as my first Dream Theater song and I really liked it, but never comprehended the musical anomale that are Dream Theater. It was only after my mate kept badgering me to listen to some albums and I borrowed Falling Into Infinity, Awake and Images and Words that I fell in love with them.

If I had to recommend an album, it'd probably be Images and Words, and one song, Learning to Live.

yeah go get images and words first. its a good first listener album. rather than dumping the glass prison on you straight away.

REFKL! i just got a mental image of a glass prison being dropped on someone.

not being unsupportive of mx, but..

download the program (Powertabs Editor) at www.power-tabs.net
then go to www.powertabs.net for the sheet music. they don't show which is for the left and which is for the right hand, its more of tabs, but they show the notes on the staves

hope that helps.
