Rules

The following rules apply for this Alternative & Indie...however since people have behaved pretty well here
over the weeks it shouldn't be a problem for all visitors to understand and respect these rules.

- Threads that are off-topic, spam or made with the sole purpose of insulting another visitor will be closed
or deleted. Promoting your site is also a waste of time on this forum. The Pit is the place to do that stuff
- If there are three or more of the same type of threads made in a short notice, I will merge those
threads. Three Smashing Pumpkins threads on one page will become one, for example.
- Discussion about tabs, self written lyrics, classifieds or band name suggestion thread will be redirected
and moved to the more appropriate forums. They don't belong here.
- "Favorite" and "list" threads are allowed here as long as they are somewhat original and posted
sparingly. I won't act as harsh, since alot of newbies would like to know what people listen to...so I will be
more tolerant than the R&M mods on this matter.
- If you quote entire essays, and reply with just one word or emoticon, your post will be deleted
- Don't post scrappy and pointless joke polls. Post polls that are relevant and clear to everyone.
Half-assed polls will be closed.
- Try to realize, especially on this forum that tastes differ alot. Many musical styles can be defined as
'alternative'. As long as you stay open-minded, don't feel you must hold back on your thoughts and
opinions on 'alternative & indie' music.
- Have fun.

I hope every new visitor will take time reading these rules. This forum contains some really good
discussions the past coupla months...let's keep it that way. Thanks go out to JAStewart...his notice gave
me a nice reason to update these rules.
