question about multitrack recorders

Is the quality alot bettter, or do you still have backround noise and pick scratchings on chords?

Is the quality a lot better as compared to what?
Genreally the better the equipment the more background noise and pick scratching you will capture. As a more detailed microphone is going to capture the sound of whatever is in front of it, with greater clarity and realism. It is not going to figure out what elements of the air compressions and rarefactions you dont want in your tracks, and subsequently remove them.
