Reviews
Quote:
"A soundscape of brutal imagery and butchering guitar lines caressed by beautiful vocals and pounding rhythms that leave you breathless but diving in for more." -Pittsburgh Music Magazine
http://bit.ly/1co3ZxD

Quote:
"This is not an album for kids who listen to metal. This is for the adults… Extremely complex, smart, and has twists and turns in every song." -MusicUG

Quote:
"The production quality is flawless as the whole thing just sounds huge. There’s something here for everyone; some chugging heavy metal guitars and drums, some prog noodling and some electronic samples that sound rather fantastic." -Metal Newz

*We're trying to get more reviews. So if anyone wants to do a review, we'll send you a FREE copy of the CD. Just send an email to john@chrysalisband.com with your SputnikMusic User ID and shipping address. We're only going to give away a limited amount, so get on it! New Ep by French/Californian folk/rock duo

Elsewhere Headfirst - folk/rock

A story that begins in the French alps, where a traveling Californian musician and a French Artist fall in love. Fast-forward a year later and they've got a full-length under their belt and a new Ep out today (valentines day!) in celebration.

If you're into folk/rock/indie/traveling/love-

http://andyandaude.bandcamp.com

Enjoy!

Liquored Up

Jack in the black
Jack in the green
It's sixty-nine
I'm twenty-three
Car in a ditch
Landing in jail
Out of control
Over the rail

Liquored Up
Drunk as a skunk
Out of my mind
Deep in a funk
Liquored Up
No girl friend
Just a dead beat
Just a dead end

Man on the moon
Neil in the news
Headed for Nam
Woodstock blues
Vodka and gin
Bud's no wiser
Country Club malt
I'm hungover

Liquored Up
Drunk as a skunk
Out of my mind
Deep in a funk
Liquored Up
No girl friend
Just a dead beat
Just a dead end

Fortunate Son
CCR
Radio on
Back in my car
Dickel on rocks
Dixie cup
Ezra Brooks
7Up

Liquored Up
Drunk as a skunk
Out of my mind
Deep in a funk
Liquored Up
No girl friend
Just a dead beat
Just a dead end

Self

I can't feel sorry for anybody
Too busy feeling sorry for myself
I can't sympathize with anyone
Too busy looking out for myself

Self
My sister says I'm selfish
Self
I prefer self-centered
Self
Self-oriented sounds even better
Self
It's every man for himself

We're all going down with this ship
Nobody on this boat can survive
If you don't drown, the sharks will get you
Bloody the water, eat you alive

Self
My sister says I'm selfish
Self
I prefer self-centered
Self
Self-oriented sounds even better
Self
It's every man for himself

You must believe in self-defense
It's a vicious world out there
I'm taking care of number one
Death is the only thing we share

Self
My sister says I'm selfish
Self
I prefer self-centered
Self
Self-oriented sounds even better
Self
It's every man for himself

What's Sputnik Community,

This is Mitch from the Philly punk rock band, Scuzbot. I'm new to Sputnik Music but I guess I'm here to make some friends and piss some people off. We just put out a music video, and in a few months we'll be recording a NEW ALBUM FOR 2014. If you dig what you hear, seriously get in touch.

Eternally Grateful

I raised her kid
Gave her a home
I paid the bills
And then some
I bought her a car
Money on the side
I even loved her
Made her my bride

Eternally Grateful
That's what she said
As she closed the door
Behind her
Eternally Grateful
What does it mean
What's it all about
What's it for

Begged her to stay
I tried to change
Took dancing lessons
Very strange
She called me Cold Fish
She called me a dud
She found someone else
He must be a stud

Eternally Grateful
That's what she said
As she closed the door
Behind her
Eternally Grateful
What does it mean
What's it all about
What's it for

I'll make my way
To the strip club
Find some young stripper
Looking for love

Eternally Grateful
That's what she said
As she closed the door
Behind her
Eternally Grateful
What does it mean
What's it all about
What's it for

It's not my music, but it's one of my best friend's new mixtape. He writes like strange droning /oldschool folk music. If you're into folk you should check this out. Keep in mind there's no minimum to buy it so you can download it for free in pretty much any format! So yeah, I'm curious to see what people think of his music.

She Tears Me Up In Those Heels

She opens the door
Her smile lights up the night
Her lips so voluptuous
Her teeth gleaming white
I walk in the room
Glance down at her feet
She's wearing red high heels
One more look, and I'm beat

She Tears Me Up In Those Heels
She wears me out, it's unreal
She's coming in for the kill
She's giving me a thrill
Can't describe what I feel
She's bending me to her will
She wears me out in those shoes
She Tears Me Up In Those Heels

We cruise in my truck
We've got the windows down
She's got the radio on
With her hair blowing 'round
Up on the tailgate
Dancing under the moon
Looking good in the night
We'll be married soon

She Tears Me Up In Those Heels
She wears me out, it's unreal
She's coming in for the kill
She's giving me a thrill
Can't describe what I feel
She's bending me to her will
She wears me out in those shoes
She Tears Me Up In Those Heels

Now kick off those heels and
Let's snuggle up
Kick off those shoes and
Let's make love

She Tears Me Up In Those Heels
She wears me out, it's unreal
She's coming in for the kill
She's giving me a thrill
Can't describe what I feel
She's bending me to her will
She wears me out in those shoes
She Tears Me Up In Those Heels

Lightning Rod

We can't control
Unforeseen events
We're at the mercy
Of fate and chance
When life gets hard
And you get confused
Just lean on me
Don't blow a fuse

Baby, let me be
Your Lightning Rod
I'll be there
To protect your bod
I'll be there
Just pretend I'm God
Baby, let me be
Your Lightning Rod

We all fear death
It's a natural thing
Nobody knows
What tomorrow brings
I'll hold you close
I'll absorb your fear
I'll be your buffer
When lightning strikes near

Baby, let me be
Your Lightning Rod
I'll be there
To protect your bod
I'll be there
Just pretend I'm God
Baby, let me be
Your Lightning Rod

When The Night Comes

When The Night Comes
With the action
Can't help but feel
A real attraction
Walking the streets
Women passing by
No wonder I'm
So excited

When The Night Comes
I feel alive
I see the moon
Then I'm revived
Go for a spin
We'll both benefit
Come on, city girl
Say you won't quit

Bridge:
Earth is turning
Shadows falling
New beginning
Love is calling
Earth is turning
West to east
When The Night Comes
Life is a feast

When The Night Comes
With the action
Can't help but feel
A real attraction
Mingle with friends
Music and laughter
We're bound to find
What we're after

Dore Mear Beon

Instrumental Rock from Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

doremearbeon.bandcamp.com

Some words about the music:

"Dynamically ambient and slow-moving, this prog-pop Canadian band will not disappoint. The band is great at changing tensions and speeds, and really playing with the listener’s emotive settings. Time truly becomes a canvas and catch melodies seem to reorganize reality and perception."
http://www.dontspreadbullshitspreadmusic.com/ode-sacrificial-pigeons-holmdel-horn-antenna-dore-mear-beon/

"Bottom line the EP has heavy emphasis on complex guitar notes. I have to admit that these 25 minutes of music are so entertaining that you can barely see or feel the time pass by. All movements release a nice tension for an amazing build-up between subtle and complex tones."
http://www.thesirenssound.com/2013/01/11/dore-mear-beon-dore-mear-beon/

Enjoy loudly and with friends.
