New Guitar Day!
So long story short: I ordered a guitar off of rondomusic that was shit (frets were uneven, bushings came out, host of other problems) and brought it in for repairs, but the guy basically said I was better off sending it back. I went into the store to pick it up, and decided to browse around and found this guy on clearance:
![]() ![]() Guitar is a Schecter Diamond Series Omen 6, and it's freaking awesome. Stock pickups are actually not terrible, fretting was perfect (had the repair guy check it before I bought it - learned my lesson!), and the action + sound are absolutely killer. It features 24 frets, which is actually a lot bigger of a deal than I realized...makes hitting those high notes MUCH easier. It usually goes for about $300, and I picked it up for $199 on clearance. |

Yeah schecters are real good bang for the buck. I know some good guitarists who use them too. Bought a 6-string bass a couple years back and I can't fault it.

Yeah, I heard about them because Jeff Loomis from Nevermore is into them. Really impressed with the workmanship...I can't put the thing down lol. Had all of these lofty plans about what I was going to do during break...instead it's become just guitar.

The lower end schecters are actually brilliant. I usually dislike with the gloss finishes but I really dig the matte natural finish. Great buy.
