maybe they will - some PUA material could on some level be likened to mind-control, and it has been known to build confidence in some people

also some treatments don't actually work but make people better because of the placebo effect

I dunno, I have very little natural strength or stamina, weedy some might say. But once I get into the swing I get toned up fairly quickly.

I'm not gonna lose any more weight or I'll be seriously unhealthy.

I know 'toning' isn't a scientific thing but it sounded more elegant than "slight but not too much muscle definition combined with low body fat"
