i tried watching that terrible This is the End and last about 20 minutes. I really can't see how that would be worse

They don't require a high level of concentration really, it's just double entendre laden slapstick. But amusing nontheless.

Gravity 9/10
Resolution 8/10

Highly recommend Resolution, streaming on Netflix. A guy goes off to find his meth-addicted friend at his remote cabin and chains him up in an effort to clean him out. This sets up the film, but there's still 90 minutes to go. I suggest going in blind, but for those who don't mind damning praise with a spoiler: this is the mumblecore Cabin in the Woods, right down to even a few beats and plot subversions (don't read the Latin!). The difference here is, the film is played for laughs and tension in equal measure, and its slower, story-focused pace means the lulls in between frights are the focus, and the scares (albeit small ones) push the narrative along and figure into the story. end spoiler

"Drive" with Ryan Gosling. I wonder how this guy manages to be so convenient and get straight into my head without actually saying a dozen of full-fledged phrases. Great atmosphere and good message, check it out if you guys haven't.

The Iceman. Disappointed, he was way worse in real life.

I'll sleep when I'm dead. Seen it before, was decent, but some small issues

The Lost Boys. AW YEAH! Classic.

Watched Man of Steel last night

the depiction of Krypton was very good. Much better than the Chris Reeves movies with ice and crystals.

Russell Crowe as super man's dad was also good. The first half of the movie had really good pacing. It seemed like the second half was sped up and led to some sloppy scenes.

I enjoyed the Zod vs. Superman fights

Watched After Earth last night.

Pretty entertaining, good bit of sci fi and gnarly monsters, although Will Smith's lad can't really act now can he?

I'd give it a 7/10.
