Over-ear and in-ear head phones for Bassists

Hi, I am a 5 year Bass Player, searching for over-ear or in-ear head phones. I am not sure of what to get. I was wondering if some experienced bassists could recommend some phones they have used, that have good bass response. I play in a church band. I have been having a problem hearing myself when I play with them. Some sundays, when we are going to perform, the headphones decide to gack out or one earbud dies. Then, the remainder of the set is ruin, because I am off by a couple of beats. We have earphones (in-ears), but they are the skullcandy cheap kind. Some of them gack out when you play. Please help me out. I would appriecate it.
