"Evolution, Big Bang 'Lies Straight from the Pit of Hell'"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rikEWuBrkHc
All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang Theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell. And itís lies to try to keep me and all the folks who were taught that from understanding that they need a savior.
lol

"The scientific method that proves evolution is the exact same as that which allows you to connect to the internet and support ignorance."

*cringes*

We don't like to use the word "prove" in science...but the point stands.

yeah but then so do most people who do believe it

I'd be surprised if the shitheels in my local atheist group could competently defend evolution against creotards

and graph theory is useless mathematics because it helps you find shortest paths in a network and some shit on the Internet is bad (like many of Smokey D's posts)

I like the ones where you're trying to belittle me while making very basic factual errors

this individual is presumably revealing his actual beliefs, and is on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee
  1. why
  2. and what is wrong with "caring" about this video
  3. and what the hell is with all those deer heads in the background

Don't get the point of this thread, we all know most fundamentalist Christians are pretty dumb when it comes to science.

Easily.

"Why is the Earth only 1000 years old?"

"Where did the spaceship that landed in the Baltic come from?"

It's not clear that questions make factual claims at all.

i dunno, maybe they do. i haven't thought very much about this.

those are like "When did you stop beating your wife?" questions

I wouldn't cast them (or rather the answers) in the true/false framework; a trivalent logic (T/F/other) is more appropriate

regardless of these issues, Smokey D has made some rather epic flubs while talking down to me

ps there is apparently a field of logic devoted to the analysis of questions called erotetics but don't ask me anything else about it because I only found out about it yesterday

it seems to be super obscure
