possibly. my point was why would you go after the state and not the hospital.

there's probably some immunity provision for the hospital in the statute.

or maybe she did go after the hosptial too as the thing Ron posted was a strike out decision not a full judgment.

I'm gonna make a music video for Telstar

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryrEPzsx1gQ

it's gonna have nuclear test shots and rocket artillery on parade and footage of "Chicken" being played paired with Krushchev banging a shoe and all kinds of fun stuff

she was arguing that the hospital was an actor of the state

way i read it, she was saying action had the imprimatur of the state, which would have meant she could sue the state for infringing her civil rights.

but it seems easier, unless there's some defence or statutory exemption i don't know about, to go after the hospital for directly false imprisonment.

the hospital was a private entity and was not acting on behalf of the state

the state gives the private entities/individuals discretion on whether or not to involuntarily commit an individual. It does not do it itself.

Yeah, that's what the case says but she was arguing the opposite.

it would qualify as false imprisonment in NZ subject to some rule in the legislation or maybe some kind of colour of right defence.

my new file sharing service deletes anything that has more or less the same name as something that was deleted previously, which means that I can't just .rar deleted files like I did on Mediafire

so now I have a system of encrypted, compressed sobriquet files with names like BDA98A93B215D5EE470A.7z that is seamlessly integrated into my industrial scale pirating system—e.g. when I upload "BDA98A93B215D5EE470A.7z" to Blogger, the title will appear correctly in the post

suck on it, how's that feel?
