sountrack to your escape
I've read many reviews about this In Flames album and they never mention one thing that really pops up in my mind - the production quality.
On this album and on Reroute to remain, the guitars sounded really weird, the drums were strange (though unique, so alright) , and the vocals seemed too low. Also, I picked out a lot of guitar/synth leads that were so low in the mix that their impact was almost nil. Especially on STYE, the quality of the songs was really good, but the pretty bad production kind of made it worse. Does anyone else notice this? Were they really going for that raw sound? I'm anxious to hear the new album when it comes out in Feb, but I wonder if they will revert to the nice clear production like on colony/clayman. |

you thought the vocals were too low? I thought they were too high. It was a decent album overall, definetly not one of InF best, but decent neverthe less. Best song's were "My Sweet Shadow" and "Quiet Place".

I just got this cd not too long ago, a good cd but as stated before definitely not their best. My favorites by them would be Colony, Reroute to Remain and Clayman.
