to stay on topic, I got the collector's edition strat guide of this game, yet only played it for a week, then traded it in.

It was hard to stop playing while i was into it. It's even harder to start again knowing its hard to stop.

Jesus this game is frustratingly buggy, as great as it is.

Today, literally any time I go in water the game freezes. Two of the companions in Jorvyskar (That's got to be spelled wrong) constantly follow me around in Whiterun, drawing their blades, and talking to me, not attacking, just talking. Sociable bastards.

Anyway, I finished the main quest, that was pretty cool.
Trying to finish up the companions quests, involved going to a cave and beheading some Hagravens, but I fell in water.
fuuuu.

edit: Fucking awesome, one of the companion quests wont start properly because Vilkas keeps talking to me.

Here's a question for anyone that's started this game a couple of times.

I know you can pretty much go anywhere and do anything as soon as the game starts, but does anyone know if it's easy enough to go and do the 15 Deadric artifact quests, like literally as soon as you start the game?

I ask because I'm still a little bit unsure how the enemies level up in this game, and I started doing deadric quests in my current game when my character was already a fuckin' tank.

I missed 2 of the artifacts this time around before I realised there was a trophy for it, and I kind of want to platinum this game. I only have 3 more trophies to get, so I'm going to start a new game to get the deadric one, and I want to do it relatively quickly.

nope, one of the quests require you to be level 20

use console statements to level you quick as fuck

Oh, fiddlesticks

Thanks for answering though.

Console statements? Isn't that PC only though? I'm on PS3.

ya you need to be a certain level for most of them, a bunch are also found randomly through some encounters and stuff so itd probably be pretty frustrating to start a new character for that sole purpose

Yeah, I'd thought of that much, I remember the Molag Bal one being quite a random encounter, as well as the Dawnstar museum invite.

Gah, I guess I'll just wait until I actually feel like starting a new game for the sake of actually playing it, and not trophy hunting.

Meh I don't care for mods I just care about playing the released game, you know, the one that was advertised, promoted and released in the first place.

But hey each to their own

but mods are part of the appeal and promotion, it's one of the series' defining characteristics

The only reason to be elitist about one platform is it's exclusive games.
And even then you're probably still just going to sound retarded.

Yeah I see what ya saying, fair point.

Most of the mod videos I've seen have been impressive I'll say that, but tbh I've just gotten lazy with pc gaming over the years. I love kicking back on the lounge and after a while falling asleep with the controller in my hand.

Tis the life I say

I regret nothing I said. buying an elder scrolls game on the console is a huge waste of potential.

I don't really think it is elitism. It is just a fact that games like Skyrim are 100% better on a specific platform since they are able to download amazing, free content that enhances the game.

I still love my consoles.

Yes, Skyrim, and generally most games perform slightly (but definitely) better on PC.

Saying things like HAAAHH OMg u r teh wasignz yoar tiem on da conzols ololol

Still makes you mentally inept.

Depends on the PC and the game. Consoles cycle about every 7-8 years. If you tried to play some of the current 360 games on a pc that came out in '02-'03, it would hardly play that well.

When you upgrade your PC every two years to be able to do this sort of thing, comparing it to a console is not an accurate comparison.

The stability of consoles vs. computers is also a huge benefit of consoles. That and not having to deal with windows to play a damn game is pretty cool

you also have to factor what the game was being coded on. If its a port to console, generally you have more problems on the less native system.
