Do I sound like a folk singer
My drama teacher today told me that I sounded like a folk singer and that I needed to be a folk singer. I don't know why but I took offense to it. I don't really like folk music that music that much and I've always thought of myself as a stronger singer. I do play guitar and sing but I love singing really belty vocally challenging songs better. Do I sound like a folk singer?

You should probably ask yourself why is strong singing and folk music mutually exclusive?
Then listen to more folk. |

any acoustic song is going to sound folky to some people, but ya no reason why you cant be a strong folk singer idk why you would take that as an insult
