it is a shooter it is top down or maybe a top down stealth action point is, being limited to x and y is a design feature, not a flaw |

![]() Got tired with it probably three quarters through, the plot of the cutscenes was just getting too convoluted with pointless sequences in between for me to stick around. It took some interesting turns but really the first game required a more satisfying level of skill to complete; particularly towards the end which had a couple of the most challenging boss battles i've had. Here I was literally button mashing x and triangle over and over and whipping everything in sight, I didn't expect to visit the Pirates of The Carribean and Tron worlds but by this point I figured hell the way things were going i'd probably wind up in The Straight Story with Richard Farnsworth on his lawnmower. It was alright though just felt like I was on auto-pilot for most of it. |

![]() I played this game to death back in the day, it was a total impulse buy because I seen it in the shop one day, and seen "Squaresoft" written on the box, which in the year 2000 (2001?) actually meant you were going to get a good game, or it was enough for me to want to buy it at least. Anyway, I wasn't disappointed then, and I'm not now after replaying it either. It's nothing amazing, but it's a hell of a lot of fun on two player, if anyone hasn't played it, it's basically a really really Japanese version of Streets of Rage. Apart from some questionable dialog (actually delivered in come cases with decent voice acting), ridiculous story line, and the anime art style being a little over the top (I know that's to be expected) it's a great game. None of those are the reasons you play a beat 'em up. You play a beat 'em up...to....beat things up, and that mechanic functions very well. It can be a little frustrating when you don't have any power ups at the beginning I remember that, but luckily I had my PS2 save file from years ago when I S ranked every character. Rag doll physics are fun. |

![]() absolutely loved it/10 finally a game with none of the usual, figurative hand holding....it has literal hand-holding. ++++what's up with box art featuring these euro-centric looking characters??? |

with opinions far-removed, it is an excellent game for anyone. However, this is not some big flagship game series luring with promises of all-inclusive features. If it's "not your type", that's very easy to understand. What 'was' there was extremely well produced and carefully placed, exuding much care at every turn.

fighting the shadows could occasionally be a pain, aside from that the game was pretty much flawless.

aside from some combat and platforming issues, Ico really felt like an interactive work of art.

didnt finish all endings, it was surprisingly blunt the game finish i got with honest to life answers. I guess, i am not taking my life as I should. |

trying to play mass effect 1 right now but 1) the weapons are fucking stupid and 2) the mako is the worst thing I've experienced in a game in quite some time
