What Should the Next 'Big' Feature Be?

I reserve the right to disagree, but I'm interested in your opinions. As always, bug fixes and fixes to recently added features will take precedence.

I would really like more list options, but I think the genres revamp is more important

GENRE OVERHAUL is not really necessary, in my opinion. the arguments around here based on genre are pretty subjective, and there's no foreseeable solution that will put an end to it. Maybe addressing an individual suggestion here or there would be nice, but if there's going to be major work done, I'd prefer it was on the news formatting or lists...

Upcoming (and/or New) Releases has come 2nd in the previous 3 polls. Looks like the streak will continue.

Upcoming releases and removal of news related to the same once completed. Every second news article is "date set for," "band goes into studio for" etc etc. I think being able to remove the release-date based content will improve the quality of news articles.

I voted for genres, but out of curiosity, what would this friend system be all about?

Sorry but the site's lack of an upcoming releases section is still a glaring hole and it's so much more important than genres.

Gotta go with Knott- on this one. Not taking anything away from what Willie has been doing, but there's huge room for improvement. I'm sure that's more important than every user having the ability to tag every band with a song over 7 minutes as 'progressive'. Genres could wait

I would like someone to explain what exactly is wrong with the genre systems. I voted for news. I'd really like to be able to integrate videos and streams into a more varied and well-structured article.

upcoming releases easy, with news a close 2nd. i don't think genres are that pressing of an issue and could be a more long-term project

voted for upcoming releases because the current genre system doesn't bother me at all but obviously it does to a lot of users. a lot of people will be/are coming to this site for new music and its pretty obvious that a good upcoming releases page is a necessary step.

Also voted for upcoming releases. I agree with Klapper, that the genre revamping could be more of a long term project.

After hearing the points put forward by other people, I'm going to have to go with Upcoming Releases.
I realise my vote is already there, and there's nothing I can do about that, but I think Jeremy is getting the message now anyway.

Upcoming releases. Genres will be messy no matter how awesome the feature is, that's just genres.

Upcoming releases as well, genre tagging seems like a perfect way for people to screw with band profiles.

I don't think genres are that important, there are so many niche subgenres at the moment there's almost as many of them as there are bands, I never have a problem finding the music I want with the genre layout as it is.

Upcoming releases would be better I reckon, that or news revamp.
