another new orchestral piece featuring stuff from death note

so ive been bloviating about this show for a while now and since i just recently finished it, i decided to make an orchestrated piece using samples from the finale of the show

really passionate, intense voice work by the guy playing kira on the show - and the best part about it was there wasn't a soundtrack. so i added my own.

I really dug that.

Would've liked a bit more percussion in the build up to the last section. Maybe doubling the strings rhythmic motif. But other than I couldn't really fault it.

As always the samples were placed very well.

You're making me want to go all orchestral too

do you have reason 4.0 and a midi controller? if so, get on msn or vent and you can assist me in composing a full length classically structured symphony

i also agree about the buildup i wish it was more powerful but i couldn't really find a way to do it

my technology is limited i can make it dynamic but i cant make it crushing

eh

and the strings are doubled (in fact i think tripled at the end 2 octaves and a 5th)

heh

but i suppose i could have done a pizzicato backup or something hrmm

I do have both Reason and a controller, I'll see if I can get msn working on this comp.

And I agree, there's only so much you can do with MIDI until it starts to become fake.

Oh and by doubling the strings I meant have the percussion doubling it.
