Here's the best track off the new Crooked I EP (Slaughterhouse dude from the west coast). It's effing sick, and probably one of the best joints of the year... too bad the rest of the EP is boring. Thoughts?

Crooked should have just sold his Hip-Hop Weekly because it was awesome. He's one of the best lyricists, but he doesn't seem like he's too into making albums.

He should just grab some classic west coast tracks and freestyle over them. "Regulate", "I'll Be There", "California Love", "Gangsta's Paradise", "It Was a Good Day", "93 'til Infinity", "The Humpty Dance" "Tonite", or something like that.

IMO that's a problem with a lot of these hyped-up lyricists (i.e. Papoose, Saigon, etc) - they have great verses, but aren't good songwriters

I'm usually willing to sacrifice fun beats for good lyricism.

Anyone excited for Felt 3? Slug + Murs, Aesop Rock's on production duties.

Some of the beats / samples I've heard from it sound great.
