Well, it was inevitable really; I always thought you'd end up with a JS.

I want an Ibanez PGM, so I can go around telling all the idiots that I got Ibanez to custom make me a guitar. By "all the idiots", I mean all the women who don't play guitar. That plus really want an RG style guitar that has a maple fret board and a hard tail, a PGM has both!

That and I don't have to swap out the pickups the instant I buy it... or ever really.

Edit: Ugh, now I really want one. As soon as I make it into the real world and I have those fat pay-checks coming in (that isn't going to happen with this economy) I'm buying one.

Edit 2: WTF @ apparently the PGM model I wanted is discontinued now. TYVM Ibanez, I now hate you! Not really, I still love you. <3

sup lod, weird dream last night. probably cos i'm kinda sick and my dreams are weird when i'm sick.

anywho, i dreamed that Al (on here, blue moon) won the lottery or something, then then bought all of us the new call of duty game for Wii with that Wii gun controller thing, so i was running around with the controller shooting things in real life.

So Lod, what's a good netbook/whatever? I'm taking my PC to uni and the parentals want something for simple **** and internet, so I've said netbook is probably the best way, but do any of them have cd drives?

Now, what's a good one for simple word processing, internet, run on XP sp3, etc

I don't think I've ever seen a netbook with a cd/dvd drive, most have several card reader and usb slots though. Gateway makes some pretty good ones and I think even Nokia has one with built-in 3G if you have AT&T. Most of the new ones will probably come with Windows 7 but I'm sure you could find one with XP on Newegg.

Why would you put Windows 7 on a netbook? That's ridiculous; it'll barely work.

One of Windows 7's features is that it's what Vista should've been but Microsoft are all cunts.

Netbooks don't come with CD-drives, they are meant to take everything but the hard drive (and those are usually small) from outside sources. If you actually want a computer, you want a notebook.

You can always buy an external DVD/CD drive and an External HDD and hook them up to the netbook when it is at your desk, as you probably wouldn't need them in class. Though I mean it'd just be easier to carry the extra few pounds that you have to deal with when it comes to a small compact notebook.

I <3 my 13.3' Sony Vaio... it weighs hardly anything, fits in most any bag you will probably be using if you're going to school, and has everything one could possibly need for an input excluding an a reader for Memory Pro 2 or w/e those cards are in some cameras. Ironically, the one my digital camera (also Sony) uses.

For someone who types so much shit on here lfd can't seem to read. It's not for me. Most netbooks come with everything except a CD drive nowadays, and I was wondering if it'd be a better option to get a proper laptop for them or just a netbook and a simple external cd/dvd drive.
