I listened to Grandeur and i couldn't help myself sing Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" along with it ("I walk the lonely road..."). Same chord progression maybe? This is not a bad thing, by the way.
The change in Grandeur around 2:00 was a bit sudden, i wasn't expecting it and sounded awkward; was this intentional? I did like the effect at 6:00 with the cymbals moving back and forth, though. Oceans: Reminded me of Muse at first. The bassline in the middle was really rad. I listened to and enjoyed them all although i'm not usually a fan of electronic music. It would be awesome if you can do the same to Foxwoods current "jingle." Foxwood is holding a contest and where you create a unique version of the Foxwoods' jingle. Upload your version of “The Wonder of It All™” below and tell your fans to vote for you here. Ten finalists will compete live on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in the Fox Theater at Foxwoods.
The grand prize, worth $25,000, includes a shopping spree for new equipment, time in the recording studio, a promotional advertising package and your winning song featured in Foxwoods' commercials. Check out www.bethewonder.com for more information. Syco722, you should definitely consider it! |

haha thanks fishbulb, Im not a huge green day fan, so if that chord progression was the same, it definitely wasn't intentional

Thanks again for more feedback fishbulb! Yes, technically that part in grandeur was intentional because it was supposed to shift the song from the intro to the electronic part, but I completely see what you mean with the transition being awkward: That's my major flaw when it comes to writing music. I never can get those transitions down, haha. Also, EVERYONE says that oceans sounds like muse; literally every single person I've shown that song has said the same thing, hahaha, but I take that as a compliment. Although, some people say its essentially a rip-off of the song bliss, but to be honest, I've barely even heard that song before, much less payed a great deal of attention to it.
Im glad you enjoyed my music though man! Please check back every so often, as Im working on more stuff! |
