lol it was so far off, resident evil 1 was probably more accurate, even tho the red queen or whatever doesn't exist

I was pretty dissapointed with it, on it's own it's ok, but the main characters interactions with cybil was just weird

i thought they stayed truthful to the locations and the enemies, but the storyline was far off from the first game

disregarding the fact that it was faithful in some aspects and not in others, i found the movie horrible. just really dull.

So for you silent hill one fans. PSP Ps2 and Wii are getting a brand new remade version of silent hill one called Shattered Memories. No combat, because yr normal harry mason without a clue how to use a weapon, everything happens in real time no loads. It's called a re-imagening of the first game. In the beginning you have to take a pshyc profile test to determin how other characters will interact with you, the clothes they wear, ect....

Looks good. Youtube has the good vids on it.

Very very loosely.

Four normal endings are available, depending on whether Harry saves Kaufmann and Cybil. The 'Bad' ending is received if neither Kaufmann nor Cybil are saved, where Alessa births the god and appears as a young woman in white robes; after Harry kills her, Cheryl's voice thanks Harry for freeing her and says goodbye. Harry falls to his knees, and the game cuts to Harry's corpse lying dead in the crashed Jeep. The 'Bad+' ending is similar, but sees Cybil walk up to him to convince him to flee the decaying Otherworld, which fails. The 'Good' ending finds Kaufmann alive; he throws Aglaophotis at Alessa to exorcise the god from her body, and it now appears as a giant, winged demon. After its defeat, Alessa transfers her soul into a new baby, giving it to Harry and opening a portal to escape. As he does so, Kaufmann tries to follow, but is dragged into the depths by Lisa. The 'Good+' sees Cybil escape with Harry and the new baby, with Kaufmann again being attacked by Lisa. Finally, the 'UFO' ending is an Easter egg, accessible if an item is used at certain points in the game, and sees Harry abducted by a fleet of UFOs.
Pretty much none of these endings happened and that's without considering the massive character changes.

I was disappointed.

The Silent Hill movie left me more confused thaan anything. I don't recall it explaining what happened to the characters. :/

Though it was cool when Pyramid Head skinned that chick alive.

I might try making the discs into ISO's and just running them through Daemon Tools or something because they were originally decompressed from that

I might actually pick up SH 2 again myself. Never played it all the way through but loved what I did experience.

I couldn't help but feel the ending was similar to that Eminem song ft. Dido. You don't see him kill himself but you hear the skid of a car so I guess it's supposed to be slightly ambiguous as to how he actually died.

I'm playing SH3 now. Already preferring 2 at the moment (though I'm not far, in the Otherworld mall right now), the combat is a bit too advanced in SH3. SH2 was scary because the combat was so down right balls.

The atmosphere of 3 was still pretty good.

I especially liked the progressively fuzzy-stuff-everywhere look in the nightmare levels.
