ok guys theres 2 girls and a guy comin over here tonite and its just us for the nite. now ive been with one girl (lets call her A) and the other guy has been with the other girl (let's call her B).
ok so A and B are best friends, so B knows that A still likes me and probably wants to get with me tonite. but i wanna get with B. and the other guy probably wants to get with B again too.

so how do i get with B if she knows that her best friend, A, wouldn't be happy about it? esp. when B could just get with the other guy again?

Use a bit of game theory here man, classic prisoner's dilemma.

You try to get with B, which is the best possible solution for you. However, if you try for B, you most likely won't get her. In addition, if A finds out and gets upset, Friend (F) most likely get anything, as they'll just complain to each other. So you piss him off by cockblocking him in addition to nobody getting with anybody if you try to get with B. However, it looks like A will want to get with you, and B will want to get with F. Go for A, and the maximum potential is reached, as it's the best for all involved, even though I guess getting with A is not as good as getting with B for you.

Get with A.

that would be the best solution if this situation involved me, A, B, and F but there is no F because the other guy isn't my friend. he's just another guy.

basically if i don't get with B, nobody's gettin' with anybody but that's the next best thing for me.

plus i think if i can be subtle enough when trying to get with B i can figure out if i even have a chance, which if i do i will continue and if i dont i will settle for A. but im not exactly sure how to pursue this. im thinking on waiting until alcohol has kicked in

Okay; assumed other guy was a buddy or something.

By all means, then, gauge your chances with B and settle for A if need be.

you wont be able to get with B because unless they've talked to each other about sharing you, it's locked down. and if A sees that your trying hella hard to get B you're going to loose out on her and B probably wont get with you cause of A. you need to chill w/ b alone first if she flirts back go for it, if that isn't possible. no go.
