Switching? I never really was on wood tipped, at least not since Freshman Year high school, but whenever I tried wood tipped I'd break the sticks. BUt my sticks also lasted a LONG time back in high school (one pair lasted two years before I retired them, I didn't even get a chance to break them). Now I go through a pair every 2 months or so.
