agreed. this is essentially what drew me to punk years ago since im a type that usually goes against the grain. Punk has a definite identity wether its musically or visually. Some of the best punk bands are pretty bad musicians but their message and attitude is what creates a following.
Im a big metal head too but metal hardly delivers a message other than worshipping satan and eating babies. Which is cool, its a very tight genre.
Im a punk at heart however and Ill listen to the simplicity of punk over the technicallity of Metal any day.
