50 tube watts is bloody loud, you should have no problem completely drowning out the drummer with that wattage.
if its 50 watts solidstate, it should be enough, yeah. unless you have a shitty amp with a cheap poweramp (often the case with high wattage solidstate amps) that clips when you turn it up at all.
