I originally purchased a Dell 1150 on the January 21st, 2005 with a 3-year warranty. Over the last two years I've had to replace a faulty CDrom out of pocket for $140 and a defective Fujitsu HD that Dell had placed in there that finally committed suicide. For a replacement 60GB HD that wasn't a piece of junk I had to pay out nearly $160! After waiting a month for my new HD to arrive, I installed it and then installed XP onto it. It only seemed to last a week until my video card stopped functioning.
