Olympic JayLink Trolling 2008

Welcome, 歡迎, dear Sputnik Community and olympic spectators, to the 2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as Games of the XXIX Olympiad. This thread marks the opening of the olympic event JayLink Trolling, a sport that makes it's first olympic appearance in these 2008 games. It is a relatively young sport but there are nonetheless a substantial amount of athletes around the world that practice it. The Beijing Organizing Committee and The International Olympic Committee would like to welcome all JayLink Trollers and fans into the olympic family.

The Sputnik Music forums have been choosen by the Beijing Organizing Committee to host this event, and for that we at Sputnik Music are very grateful. At the JayLink Trolling Planning Conference in Beijing in January 2007, Superadministrator Jelle Superpeer said "lol" after the decision had been made and assured that Sputnik Music would provide the best possible circumstances for a successful event.

Rules

These are the official rules for the event JayLink Trolling.

- The aim of the sport is to troll user JayLink (current user name: JJLink)
- Points are rewarded for hostile response (or "baiting") by JayLink to trolling
- The winner is the competitor with the most points at the end of the event (see below for point system)
- The event starts now and ends at 12.00 Beijing time, August 21th
- Competition is restricted to the following threads (meaning points can only be obtained from JayLink posts posted in these threads):

Point system, based on the response given by JayLink in the form of posts, specifically aimed at the competitor or a clearly specified group of competitors.

- Class I hostile response (light baiting, joking insults etc.): 1 point
- Class II hostile response (serious, non-joking insults, complaints etc.): 3 points*
- Hostile reference to IRL circumstance of competitor: 2 points (in addition to the other point/points gained by the same response)
- Report in the site forum: 5 points
- "pathertic": 10 points
- Leaving-thread: 25 points

*If the same JayLink post contains both non-serious (class I) and serious (class II) hostile elements, the post as a whole is regarded as a class II response.

At the end of the event, each competitor compiles every JayLink post from any of the three threads that fulfill any of the point criteria above, and quotes (linked quotes) them all in a single post, with the score for each post noted by every quote, along with their total score at the bottom. Anyone might then oppose a point, and hopefully civilized discussion among the competitors and supporters will resolve any disagreements regarding scores. If an agreement still can not be reached, I, sweboy, as the official representative of The Beijing Organizing Committee, head administrator and organizer of the JayLink Trolling event and head referee, will make the decision. This decision can not be overruled. If two competitors are tied at the same score at the end of the event, second referee JayLink decides who of them is the best JayLink troller. This decision can not be overruled.

Three medals; gold, silver and bronze, will be rewarded to the top three trollers. UPDATE There will also be a cash prize in American dollars; $5 to the gold medalist, $4 to the silver medalist and $3 to the bronze medalist. The prize will sent to the medalists trough PayPal and nothing else. We will like to thank our generous sponsor Mister Che for the financial and logistical support that has made this cash reward a reality.

As head administrator and organizer I would also like to kindly, with love, ask user JayLink to cooperate with the committee. I would also kindly ask the Sputnik moderating staff to interfere as little as possible with the competition and not close the competition threads, and remind them, and anyone who feels that the JayLink Trolling Olympic event should not be held at Sputnik Music, that the Olympic Games occurs only once every four years, the competition is restricted to only three threads, and that things go back to usual right after the event ends.

同一个傑伊 同一个梦想 (One Jay, One Dream)

Let the trolling begin!
