There are plenty of leaders like Saddam, that are worse or just like him to his people. Iraq was already under economic sanctions post-Persian Gulf, which completly devastated the Iraqi people. So now to help out the devestated region, we are going to bomb them.

We all know, the only reason we care about the Middle East and not other places (Darfur, etc), is because of the price of oil.

"the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological".

That is the definition of terrorism in a US Army Manual. So according to this definition, IMO, the United States & Co. are sponsoring State terrorism. Bush & Co. have tried to put fear into Americans (ie: WMDz, reminders of 9/11) fo political/ideological reasons.

We have also sponsored terrorists elsewhere (Contras, Mujahideen, Diem, etc)
