I've always just run Bass-->Amp, I have no real need or desire for effects but I want to get together a small pedalboard to give me a bit more control and a few other things I'd like (compressor, eq, tuner, overdrive), I was going to get the boss stomp box ones as they are pretty solid, not stupidly expensive and I'm happy with the tones I got when testing them, plus I already have a modded CS-3 which I like.

My question is this:
Is there any way to power them all that doesn't involve taking a loan out to fund battery use or buy 4 adapters at £25 each? I tried using a cheap all purpose adapter but it gives me a lot of hiss, so thats not really an option.
