waylon jennings is okay, the stuff he did with Cash was good, 'that ol' wheel specifically.' I'm a fan of pretty much any Johnny Cash, his more depressing material is what I like.... I Still Miss Someone, Sunday Morning Coming down, The Long Black Veil, etc.

His rendition of 'the one on the right is on the left' is so brilliant, as are almost all his covers. The Man Comes around is great as an album as well - I wish he had written more songs on it but the title track is awesome even if it is majorly biblical. My favorite Cash songs/covers:

Sunday Morning Coming down
I still Miss Someone
Ghost Riders in the Sky
The Highway men (epic tbh)
There you Go
Hey Porter
Get Rythm
The Long Black Veil
Ballad of a Teenage Queen
I went Out Walking
Big River (best country riff ever?)
3 feet high and rising.

many more.

John Denver, Hank Sr, kris kristofferson, jennings, etc.

lol @ charlie daniels. the first time i started listening to country my dad told me it was poser garbage
