Narrative poetry from the dutch one.

NOTE: I AM NOT RELIGIOUS, i just take an interest for religion.

if you'rs familiar with the bible , Revelation chapter 16 you'll recognise this being about the seven bowls of wrath, same theme as some lyrics i wrote previously for an album but we scrapped them together with the album and the whole band.
(i am aware that stanza 2 and 3 are quite similar but i didn't want to break the idea of having 1 stanza for each event.

Sores on skin
piercing pain
essence of death
lingers as men suffer.

The moon rises
over the red seas
its creatures splashed
on the bleeding shores

The third bowl turned
rivers to blood
"you are just in these judgements
you who are and who were the holy one"

The sun grew,
With the power to scorch
boil your blood
scorch marked skin*

the fifth bowl
destroyed the beast and its reign
their master is now gone
man gnawed in pain

The river euphrates died
and three feral spirits were awoken
"behold i come like a thief!
blessed is he who stays awake and keeps
his clothes with him, so that he may not
go naked and be shamefully exposed"
all men were ready to fight at armageddon

"The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, peaks of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthwuake has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake the great city split into three and collapsed"

*'scorched marked skin' refers to a song i wrote which is about how the beast of the earth and the sea set up their reign which is supposed to be some sort of hell.
They chose their servants and marked them with 666 on their skin. the pain (mildly) described in the song was only pain the marked men could feel as a punishment from God.
At least it says not that it has ever happend or doubt it will happen, apart from the scorched skin because were gonna nuke ourselves anyway.

some bits might not make sense but as i said if you've read that part of the bible it will make sense
