A thousand nights of splendor
With only rags to warm these limbs
Sustaining on the mountains shadow
Growing thinner than the east borne wind
White bones, empty foot prints
Memories tend to fade
Sitting in the mountains splendor
Until only the mountain remains

Visitors are a rarity here at altitude
Last night I escorted the moonlight
Thru high valleys solitude
Nothing competes with heaven
So I’ll sit down here and smile
Soliloquy…
In the essence of the quiet

How is silence explained
How can the way be taught
Words are just a road map, pointing
To a conscience thought
Traversing streets and alleys
Direction becomes confused
A multitude of stimuli
Too intoxicating to refuse

Existing in a whirlwind
Of emotions and desires
A never ending cacophony
Lacking depth to inspire
