Alright, for those of you that ever left band, what was the logical reason?

For me, iv'e been playing bass for a year in a band, in which the band is almost a 1 year old. We just recently played a show at my school and a few days after the show i heard that people talking trash about how our band sucked.

Iv'e noticed that my band isn't making much progress. I mean, we've been around for almost a year and we only play easy cover songs. We have a few of our own songs, but they suck like hell. My guitarist is consumed in his own egotism and think he's the Sh!t, but he really sucks at playing the guitar.
When i go to school, i get ridiculed everyday for making a fool of myself while on stage, and i watched the video of us performing and yes, we did suck hard.

I was wondering if i should quit? I can't stand the guitarist anymore cause he is very conceited and self centered. He ridicules the other members just to feel better about himself sometimes. And the top of all that, he really sucks!!! He's been playing guitar for 4 years and can't play a single solo.

So yeah, i wanna know if its a good idea to quit while I'm ahead, before i make an *** out of myselft at another show.

Oh yes, and don't forget to say the reason why you left your previous band.
