Fiction:
Catch 22 - Joseph Heller - The best book about war ever written and the funniest book ever all roled into one.
Any Kurt Vonnegut book - Seriously, he's a genius. My favourites are Slaughterhouse 5, Breakfast Of Champions and Mother Night
Non-Fiction:
Killing Hope - William Blum - The best book on US foreign policy I've ever read. Very comprehensive. There are samples of it on Propagandhi's Today's Empires, Tommorrows Ashes CD-ROM extras
Sandinistas - Dennis Gilbert - A comprehensive look at the Sandinista Regime. Very well written.
Autobiography - Malcolm X - The best autobiography I've ever read. Entertaining and informative
For Reasons Of State - Noam Chomsky - A collection of his essays including a large one on the Vietnam war and a good introduction to Anarchism.
