Metalcore
Backstabbers Inc. - Metalcore, grindcore, or something in between. Chaotic mess. Yum.
Beauty To Ashes - Metalcore and hardcore. A mix of the greats. “Bystanderds of a Lifestyle Obession”
Beecher - Great, fast metalcore band from the UK. The screamer is a little high though. “Arrow Flies”
Between The Buried And Me - Legends. If you like metalcore but don’t have any BBAM, get some, NOW!
Bleeding Through - Remind me of Martyr AD in a way. Not very unique, they’d probably remind you of a lot of metalcore bands. They‘re still good at what they do though. “Sweet Vampirous” “Number Seven With A Bullet”
Blood Has Been Shed - If I’m not mistaken, the singer of Killswitch Engage screams for this band. But fear not, no melody hear. Just full on metalcore, with some great screaming. “Technicolor Jackets”
Blood Runs Cold - For fans of Every Time I Die. “Broken Bond”
Bloody Sunday - Fast, gritty metalcore.
Born From Pain - A heavier Blood For Blood.
Breather Resist - For fans of Norma Jean. “The best Mistake”
Bridge To Solace - A GREAT blend of punk and metal. Talent, speed, some melodic sections, a great, great band. They have unique (meaning made for the band) speaking parts and the beginning or end of each song. which are all very well done. They are done by someone in Pennywise, I believe. “How Long Do We Have To Bear Our ****ing Crosses” “Death Race With Dimension Four”
Burning Skies - Overall a generic but good metalcore band. “Individual Hate Complex”
Bury Your Dead - For fans of Dead To Fall’s new album.
Emo
Bright Blue Calm - The quiet-to-loud dynamic characteristic to emo. Great stuff. “Color Pallet”
Metal
Beyond The Embrace - They sound kind of like Children Of Bodom, but without the keytar. I love the signer/screamer. Great/good solos too. “Insect Song” “Reedemer”
Blind Guardian - In my opinion, the Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphys of metal.
Ska
Bandits Of The Acoustic Revolution - Ska. I’ve been told they’re a Streetlight Manifesto but with acoustic guitars. “Here’s To Life”
Big D And The Kids Table - The Gypsy Hill EP is my favorite ska album ever. A great mix of ska and punk. “Scenester” “Those Kids Suck” “Check List”
Pop-punk
Bayside - Pop-punk without a whiny singer omgwtf. A harder edge in some songs than most pop-punk. “Masterpeice” “Phone Call From Poland”
Before Brail - Mellow and quiet to melodic pop-punk. Sweet. “When Feeling Fades”
Before I Go - A bit of harder edge, but not much. Non-whiny singers with a bit of a rasp. “Again I Follow Suit”
Before Today - Pop-punk with some post-hardcore influence. They have a LOT of a talent for a pop-punk band. Check the metal-esque solo in “Roots Beneath Ideals” and the melodic greatness of “Pierce The Evil”
Belvedere - Fast pop-punk. Not usually what I listen to, so I can’t make comparisons. “Repetition, Rejection”
Best Interest - It’s a shame these guys have only released an EP. It’s genius though. A great blend of melodic singing and screaming,. A good bit of talent as well. “True Evol”
Better Luck Next Year - Light, care free pop-punk. More talented than the average as well. “Winning What’s Left”
Blueline Medic - Nice, melodic pop-punk.
Burns Out Bright - Not the best produced of bands, but great melody and some good guitar work (for pop-punk) “Something I Can Steal”
Indie and Mellow
Bear Vs. Shark - Indie and post-hardcore. A great blend of singing and screaming. “Ma Jolie” (just note that they aren’t mellow for the most part)
Beauty Pill - Beautiful mellow, mellodic indie. “Nancy Medly, Girl Genius, Age 15”
Before Brail - Mellow and quiet to melodic pop-punk. Sweet. “When Feeling Fades”
Blonde Red Head - Like Rilo Kiley, but less Folk-y.
Brazil - Any fan of melody and unique-ness should give a listen.
Post-Hardcore
Bear Vs. Shark - Indie and post-hardcore. A great blend of singing and screaming. “Ma Jolie”
Before Today - Pop-punk with some post-hardcore influence. They have a LOT of a talent for a pop-punk band. Check the metal-esque solo in “Roots Beneath Ideals” and the melodic greatness of “Pierce The Evil”
Beloved - I wasn’t sure where to put these guys. Beautiful melodic singing to heavy guitars and one of my favorite screamers. “Death To Traitors” “Failure On My Lips”
Best Interest - It’s a shame these guys have only released an EP. It’s genius though. A great blend of melodic singing and screaming,. A good bit of talent as well. “True Evol”
Bleed The Dream - They have some Alternative influence as well. Great singer. “Overcrowded Room”
Blue Skies At War - A little quiet, but nonetheless good. “Looking Back”
Blueprint Car Crash - A good amount of talent in these guys. A weird singer though. “12.8.80”
Broken Horizon - A talented band, with a great singer and a great singer. Mixes great heavy riffs with a beautiful singer. Lyrics are lame, but the music is great. “My Bleeding Heart” “Loses”
Hardcore
Beauty To Ashes - Metalcore and hardcore. A mix of the greats. “Bystanderds of a Lifestyle Obession”
Blacklisted - I’d be tempted to call them metalcore, but I wont. Fast, heavy, what more could you want?
Acoustic
Bleed The Dream - They have an all-acoustic EP which is very good, so I’ll just put them here as well. Anything off the album “Asleep”
Defy Genre
Big Dumb Face - Some kind of metal and synth mix, but hardly nintendocore. They have all their voices synthed and distorted, very odd. “Rebel” “Mighty ***** Lazer”
