This thread is where everybody recommends bands to everybody else, so if someone comes in going "Hay where can I find bands that sound like blah blah blah" we can all yell "RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD!" at them.

The way this thread works: When you make your post, first name the genre of music the bands fit under, then name the bands and (optional) provide links. I will edit the post below as bands are posted, so people don't have to comb through the whole thread to find bands they want. However, if you want you can provide a short description in your post, it will not make it into the list but people searching for more info can still read it in your post.

If someone posts a band in a genre you don't agree with, simply state what genre you think they should be under, and the band will simply be posted under both genres. Compromises are fun!
