Life Won't Wait, definitely. It's my favorite, it's their "experimental" album. Lots of ska/dub/dancehall, some rockabilly, just really good. I just got the skull from the cover tattooed onto my shoulder (Rancid 4 Life, quite literally...)
Or, pick up Let's Go, which is just an amazing punk-rock record, loads of energy and lots of fun. Tough call. I'd probably have to go with LWW, just cuz it's my favorite.
The two self-titleds are really good too, especially the first one. It's really raw and energetic and awesome. The newer self-titled (2000) is a little more hardcore and pissed-off, but still good.
