The Official R&M faux Emo/Screamo Thread

bands are probably appropriate for this thread if they meet at least five of the following criteria:

-whiny vocals
-mixes "clean vocals" with "screamed vocals"
-"screamed vocals" aren't actually screamed
-catchy powerchords
-lyrics about slitting or cutting something
-lots of sing-a-long-style choruses
-swooped hair
-tight jeans
-limp wrists
-nice-ish production that eventually becomes actually nice production
-noticeable "maturing" at some point in their career
-used to be on jade tree, deep elm, equal vision, victory etc. and then signed a major label contract
-released a 7" at one point
-released a lot of albums but only one is actually *really* good
-lots of dumb fans
-frequently labelled emo/screamo/metal/(post-)hardcore/punk by said dumb fans

some god-tier examples:

faux emo:
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends
Juliana Theory/Dawson High split
Saves the Day - Through Being Cool
Armor for Sleep - Dream to Make Believe
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
Fall Out Boy - Fall Out Boy's Evening Out with Your Girlfriend

faux screamo:
underOATH - The Changing of Times
Hopesfall - The Satellite Years
AFI - Sing the Sorrow
My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love
Aiden - Our Gang's Dark Oath
Alexisonfire - Alexisonfire

p.s.
I'm not taking the piss or joking. I am dead srs. I like this music. I am an occasional sywh poster, which should confirm my dedication to faux emo/screamo.

p.p.s.
tyler, if you're going to close this for some reason, please give me some feedback on how to improve the thread instead of just uh closing it like you usually do. I will follow the rules and be a good MX R&M citizen. :-)
