scott01- ive only cut it out on a bandsaw, at the moment im sanding the edges and going to put a rounded corner on it and put the curves into the horns and body.
pitchfork- i play a fiver tenor at the moment as my main bass and am in love with the high C, and played a couple of fretless sixes but too chunky necks but i loved the low B, and my prefered neck size is four string jazz, so i thought 2 necks different tunings and fretted/fretless
ive just routed out the necks pockets using a hand router - while practising on scrap wood, i broke the template disk :S so i did the actual ones free hand and a tidy up with a chisel and sander. Worked out a lot better than i thought. Should be doing the pickups and control cavity on monday/tuesday once ive picked up a few template disks. I'll post some more progress pics in the week.
