rise against's new album (appeal to reason)
 

coming out oct. 7, 2008

i've been waiting for this forever, their last album was amazing so i'm hoping this one will be even better. i'm not really digging the single though ("re-education through labor")

anyone else looking forward/care?

Hmm, I only have RPM by them. What else should I get when I go back to my house next weekend?

the album took my breath away, i have a play count of over 200 somethin times on itunes

it gives me shivers down my spine listening to it, especially when you're driving and you have the music blaring :cool:

The new songs they played liver were kinda meh.

I'll probably check this out.

"Re-Education Through Labor" is pretty underwhelming though.

yeah if they really think about having that as their single they aren't really gonna attract any attention

the only thing that goes through my head when I listen to their new stuff is that they're in a safe zone now. They need to leave it or I'm just going to listen to their older stuff.

They're trying too hard with the whole political thing.

Well looks like I've got a list of things to get this weekend.

album is ok, not their best

I heard one of the new songs on the radio and it sounded horrible I didn't even realise they were the same band that made RPM (which I am quite enjoying again after not listening to it for a few years).

It's okay, it's very poppy though. But then most of their stuff is just 'okay'.

After finally listening to it I want to be disappointed. The album is very mellow, not aggressive, and not even close to melodic hardcore anymore. I'm not actually disappointed though because I expected as much alas.

Still, for a Pop Punk album, it's alright. But if I want to listen to Rise Against, I'll stick to old stuff.

I heard Rise Against brand new album and every single song was totally awesome!

It's pretty decent, but not memorable at all. I can remember songs from revolutions per minute off the top of my head from years ago, but I can't remember **** from listening to this album a week or so ago.

saw them live they are still touring i think and they are worth seeing live for sure!

re-education through labor is sweet but the video is kinda wtf
