The evolution of my kit

This is how my kit has changed over about 2 years:

First kit

Second kit and Second kit 2

My kit (now), from the front and the snare i won

I’m getting a 20" AA mid. ride tomorrow and by the end of the year I would have replaced my ZXT's with... Istanbul 18" crash. K hats (unsure yet) and maybe a Vault 16" crash

Hope you enjoy

to be honest i like your second set up better, just the roto's need moved

Ill Mitch 04-16-2006 08:25 PM

Time to invest in some higher quality cymbals.

VTDS_xx 04-16-2006 08:30 PM

Get those Rotos back up there!

Chippy569 04-16-2006 08:55 PM

I second that statement. haha If I were you, I'd try to put em more to the left of the bass instead of the right, in front of the crash.

FullMoon 04-16-2006 09:32 PM

put them where i have mine but u dont have to do them in that order

Just noticed this now:
13" Sig. Pearl Joey Jordison snare ( i no..... but i won it at a clinic)
Don't be down cause it's a joey jordison sig. If you like the sound, which I have no clue if you do, then it's fine with me and many other people that dislike the dude.

destroyer of senses 04-16-2006 10:01 PM

destroyer of senses 04-16-2006 10:02 PM

do you have any more advice on where to place them? maby some pictures

drummerdave 04-16-2006 10:08 PM

nice kit, and just for future reference, never buy that many zxts, they're not bad to start out with but after a starter pack or something you are just wasting money, unless you find one that you like the sound of then its ok

so.... how is the jordinson snare?

Panopticon 04-17-2006 03:39 AM

Hey goose, i remember when you won a snare...and never got it.

Anyway, Very nice kits. What kind of PDP is that?

That's some super wierd jam block placement. Never seen a jamblock on a stand. Also, try putting the rotos by the hats...like so...

Of course not exactly like that. That's just a rough diagram, but in that general area.

Tyler3295 04-17-2006 10:15 AM

i wonder about the jordison snare, you won it, but would it be worth its price?

Tre Mitchell 04-17-2006 10:47 AM

You won a Joey Jordison snare?

You bastard

Nah kiddin nice kit :)
Hey goose, i remember when you won a snare...and never got it.
Disappointing, but hell, it was only $5.

_Austin_ 04-17-2006 02:09 PM

Its amazing what musicianforums does to your set-up!

I think i speak for a lot of people when i say that my kit's set-up has improved by a LONGSHOT due to the criticism on these forums

Nice set man!

Chester 04-17-2006 02:45 PM

I wouldnt of bought that many zxts, but whatever, nice kit.

put the roto toms on the left side of ur kit above ur hats. Theres definately enough room, you could still put it on the right side prolly too if you tried.

destroyer of senses 04-18-2006 03:58 AM
so.... how is the jordinson snare?
I found it much better then the pdp snare that came with the kit and although I’m not a nu-metal fan i really do like the sound of the snare... it has a high tone and its very "pingy" if that makes any sense.

Thanks every 1 for the feed back. When i get my new ride and put my roto-toms back up ill post more pics

AdultSwim815 04-18-2006 07:14 AM

I like what I see, only thing is maybe get a better hihat stand when you can, I don't know though because the way the pedal looks, it looks like my friends hihat stand but I dont know anyway. Hopefully when I get a job and I get all new cymbals and heads, I'll get some pictures of my kit on here for all to look at, and it's actually kind of sexy but it's basic but sexy looking.

pitchfork 04-18-2006 10:55 AM

Nice set up now, it'll be killer once you've got the new cymbals.
I don't like the splash placement personally but whatever's comfortable to you, ever tried it above the bass drum?
