Metallica Inc.

Due to the recent influx of idiot threads regarding Metallica here is the OFFICIAL Metallica thread. Please post EVERYTHING Metallica related in this thread and DO NOT make any additional threads regarding Metallica.

Thankyou.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:23 AM

lol adam is gay

Steve DeBerg 11-18-2003 08:25 AM

What are the chances the newbs will read this before they post. Any way top nitch idea ridethespiral, you are a man(person) of action.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:26 AM

^ Well go take a look at the pit. They have a official lov and relationships thread
that works out fine. So its sorta like that. its not garunteed that all newbs will read it, but it will at least reduce the recent influx.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:35 AM

Well? no one is going to talk metallica?

Kirk's Puppet 11-18-2003 08:35 AM

Metallica rocks! But I don't really see A LOT of Metallica threads.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:36 AM

^ Then you don't come to the forum often enough. But thats good, thats a start. Lets try to make this the best metallica thread ever. Ridethespiral is trying to help, not mock you fans in anyway.

Most of the Metallica threads turn into flame-fests and are closed quite quickly.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:43 AM

So lets make this a cool metallica thread, were EVERYTHING is allowed. You can flame, talk about how much you love st anger, your fvorite solos, everything....this will be like the death heads thread (4500+) and everything death goes in it...
this is the same idea. i mean, **** there aren't that many death threads, and they ahve a sprecial thread, so wouldn't it make alot more sense to have a metallica Offical thread.

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 08:47 AM

i liked metallica's older stuff better than there new (who doesn't?), but my favorite song out of all would be master of puppets.

i like how it goes from there normal stuff in that song, to nice and soft and slow, then to unique solo's

i also like enter sandman, its a preety well balanced song.

lets try to keep this thread alive

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 08:49 AM

Master of Puppets is such an amazing song. I love the thrashy feel to it.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:49 AM

^^ :chug:

And so it starts. Metallica Fans Unite!!!

Bump this thread often!

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:50 AM

I was trying to learnt the ride the lightining solo the other day. It is imo the hardest metallica solo out there

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 08:52 AM
Master of Puppets is such an amazing song. I love the thrashy feel to it.
amen

can someone suggest more songs from metallica that are decent besides

master of puppets
fade to black
the one
enter sandman
the unforgivin

i know there is more, those are just the ones im familiar with:)

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 08:53 AM

I love The Thing That Should Not Be and Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

mr_hatman 11-18-2003 08:54 AM

Metallica ROCK!
in my opinion the best band out
fave song has to be sanitarium (for now anyway, i change a lot)

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 08:56 AM

^^thanks guys
i have a question?

What do you think Metallica's new album will be like, if they come out with one, will they come out with another one??

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:58 AM

^^ You too?

To iliketoplaydrums: sanitarium, seek and destroy, ride the lightining, the unforgiven 2 (the best metallica song IMHO!!)

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 08:58 AM

Unfortunatly I think they're dying but they may just produce a good album. Theres no way they could go downhill.

Ramsey 11-18-2003 08:59 AM

I think its this next album (after st. anger) and they'll call it a day. It will prolly be somehting epic like black album, possible like reload....but i doubt it will go back tothe old days...i thin metallica want to put those days behind if i'm not mistaken.

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 09:00 AM

lolz penis

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 09:01 AM

I would like them to do something completely unexpected and make a truly different album. Then call it a day. I dont think it will happen though.

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 09:02 AM

Yeah this thread is powering along!

Lets keep it up guys. :)

Ramsey 11-18-2003 09:02 AM

^ yeah. Like how they did with black album. I mean they showed the world they can play incredible metal (everything before the black album) and then they showed the world they can be artists too (black album) if they do that again i will definently buy their album...

depends on era of metallica you are talking about Kill 'em all-And justice, Black-Reload, or St. Anger. There are very good songs from each era (exept St. Anger IMO) and each song from the different eras are very different.

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 09:08 AM

wow, sanitarium is awesome

my favorite part was right at 4:25, when he does that wicked solo,

and i like the ending starting at about 5:45

good song

i hope metallica just doesnt die out, and have there last album be st. anger

Ramsey 11-18-2003 09:09 AM

^ Iknow, st anger is a shame. I wouldn't want them to end with a whimper, but with a bang

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 09:09 AM

Yeah that would really be an injustice. :(

iliketoplaydrums10111 11-18-2003 09:12 AM

how long has metallica been making songs, because if you make songs for an average amount of time, you might have a "bad era", and thats probably where there at right now, in my opinion

hopefully they can pull themselves out

RideTheSpiral 11-18-2003 09:13 AM

I think Kill em All was '81 but I'm not sure.
