Pop-Punk Awards 2005: Best Album, Group C

Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness
Thrice – Vhiessu
Propagandhi - Potemkin City Limits
A Wilhelm Scream - Ruiner
Panic! At The Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out

The "Best Album" award has been split into 3 groups because of the inequal amount of nominations. 2 of the groups are just standard nominations, and the final group is made up of albums with more than one nomination. If this seems a little unfair, I'm sorry, but it's the fairest way I could see to do it.

To make it a little bit fairer, the top 2 albums of the first 2 groups (With one nomination) will go through to the final, whereas the top album of the final group (With more than one nomination) will go through to the final.

So here's the first poll of 3. They will all close in 4 days, then the final will last 3 days.

Good Apollo

Agent_Orange 11-08-2005 08:09 AM

Oh god I hope C&C don't win.

Thrice ++

Kif 11-08-2005 08:16 AM

GA got more nominations than Thrice, so technically it should.

But then again, there are 4 other albums up there.

Sep 11-08-2005 08:19 AM

This will be tough. I need to give Vheissu a couple more spins before I can vote.

Fabz 11-08-2005 08:54 AM

The new Thrice, Propagandhi and Wilhelm Scream are all excellent albums, but I'll go with Propagandhi.

Pete 11-08-2005 08:55 AM

Unfair poll.

I vote for aWS, because lots of people will vote Propagandhi anyway (if everything's right in this world).

Both the Thrice and Co&Ca ones were kinda disappointing to me, even though they were good.

EDIT: Hah, that makes one vote for each album. For now, anyway.

Agent_Orange 11-08-2005 08:56 AM

I think AWS is out of this one.

?? How so?

ZaaR 11-08-2005 09:01 AM

Easily Thrice.

Bad Blood 11-08-2005 10:07 AM

Coheed easily.

Dead Star 11-08-2005 10:10 AM

Coheed, but this year hasn't produced any albums that I like hugely.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-08-2005 10:25 AM

Thrice.

chumpradio 11-08-2005 10:38 AM

It was between Co&Ca, Ruiner, And P!ATD for me, so I finally chose Panic.

Fabz 11-08-2005 11:28 AM

I don't think Propagandhi will get a lot of votes, people here are all sucking Thrice and Coheed...

clearvision 11-08-2005 12:06 PM

P!ATD for me.

Don't really get this voting system though, sureley you want albums with more nominations to go through as they are higher in demand...

Excursions 11-08-2005 12:28 PM

Don't like any of them but I will see how it pans out and vote for the one with the least amount of votes. Same with the other poll other than the one with Brian Eno because he wins easily.

Yeah =/ They're wrong though.

Permanent Solution 11-08-2005 01:24 PM

Dear god...Thrice, Coheed, and AWS in one poll :(

Henrik 11-08-2005 01:45 PM

:thumb: I voted Propagandhi, no doubt.

Henrik 11-08-2005 01:51 PM

Kif can I ask why you left out Dropkick Murphys and Against me!? Not enough nominations or not pop-punk?

Angry Balled Fists! 11-08-2005 01:58 PM

Nominations, i woudl have voted AM! but they aren't pop-punk.

Firecracker 11-08-2005 02:11 PM

Panic! At The Disco owns this poll.

Converge 11-08-2005 02:15 PM

Coheed and Cambria.

jasonresno 11-08-2005 02:21 PM

I'm pullin for the Panic!

So, to make sure I'm clear on this...4 albums that were nominated once move on...and only one with multiple nominations does?

Mute Print 11-08-2005 02:28 PM

Ruiner, hands down. All the albums in this group were pretty good though.

B 11-08-2005 02:30 PM

Ruiner

Gnarmageddon 11-08-2005 02:30 PM

Coheed. I guess.

Pazz 11-08-2005 02:38 PM

It was between Coheed, Trice and P!AtD. I gave in and voted for Co&Ca.
