Further Seems Forever

I just bought/listened to 'The Moon Is Down', and its some of the best melodic pop-punkish post-hardcoreish indieish stuff ive heard in a while. Chris Carrabba has a great voice (even though Dashboard confessional blows hard). I suggest you all download 'Snowbirds and Townies'.

In other news, the 3rd CD player i bought from sony in the last 2 months has broken, leading me to believe all sony products are faulty.

Discus further seems forever, plzkthx.

I only have How to Start a Fire, but it's good.

Gnarmageddon 10-20-2005 06:22 PM

Wait. Chris Carabba is in FSF? I thought it was his brother.

I'm not a huge fan of the band, but I like what I've heard from them. Do you have AIM, Cob?

I was planning on getting that one next.

Nah, its Chris. And maybe his brother was one of their singers, i read that they had like, 8, so they basically rotated singers for every album. And sorry, but i dont have AIM.

I have Hide Nothing and I honestly haven't listened to it all the way through, I'll have a listen after. I don't even remember ever listening to it :-\

Mute Print 10-20-2005 06:48 PM

I listen to them a little bit. They're a pretty cool band.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-20-2005 07:16 PM

I have no albums by them but when I had Napster I got one and it was good.

I didn't know Chris was in FSF thats weird.

Gnarmageddon 10-20-2005 07:39 PM

Vince just sent me How To Start A Fire, and I like it a lot.

I remember 'Pride War' from some comp I have.

B 10-20-2005 07:41 PM

I think I'll have to check out How To Start A Fire... Hide Nothing was alright but people seem to like the former.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-20-2005 07:42 PM

Vince would you mind hooking me up to? :naughty: NVM....Spence would you mind???

I can if you want, or you can get it from me on slsk.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-20-2005 07:50 PM

No don't worry about it....

Tjebby 10-20-2005 09:25 PM

Chris left when Dashboard became a huge hit about two years ago. Now I think hes back in the band. I saw FSF in March 04, they had some huge singer guy. I didn't really like them.

I love the song "The Sound"

That comp youre thinking of is Atticus Vol 2. I also have that album its good, my favourite tracks are "how to start a fire" "against my better judgement" and "pride war". I suggest you download these.

k1ckthecat 10-27-2005 12:48 AM

A little too mellow for me right now, they're meh but in a good way I guess.

Gnarmageddon 10-27-2005 08:27 AM

I just listened to How To Start A Fire all the way through. It's an excellent album.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-27-2005 08:42 AM

I've listened to bits and pieces of it and I really like it I might listen to it soon.

Understanding In a Crash 10-27-2005 10:55 AM

Don't like them, I don't really like Chris Carraba. The album is ranked high in the pop-punk hall though but I could never really get into it.

comptonasseddy 10-27-2005 11:07 AM

i dont really understand why its "pop-punk". i dont see any element of punk in it really. Id say there more just mellow rock/emo

cobert 10-27-2005 02:18 PM

Be careful how you throw around the term emo.

truthfully, they fit best into pop-punk, but in the more emotionally charged kind that includes TBS, saves the day, and some stuff by the movielife.
