Look! Kif made a podcast!

Yes, it's true. I surcame to the internet fad that is podcasting. Only I uploaded mine to Purevolume because I'm cheap and I don't want massive YSI links to expire after too long. It's also downloadable on there too, so you can grab it and listen to it in all it's low-quality glory!

Check it out and tell me what you think. Feel free to make fun of the fact that I barely talk about anything, or give me tips and request for the next one I decide to do.

Tracklisting:
1. Panic! At The Disco - "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage"
2. ActionReaction - "Bang, Bang"
3. John Connor - "Dancing May Occur"
4. Pennywise - "Fox TV"
5. The Fall Of Troy - "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. (Live On 107.7 The End)"

I don't know how podcasting works, because it seems like something I would absolutely enjoy doing.

But hey, nice work. I'll check it out in more detail when I have some time to do so.

Kif 10-13-2005 09:11 AM

It's kind of like an internet radio show in MP3 format. Proper ones are done in m4a, and you subscribe to them on iTunes and download them onto your iPod, but a lot of homemade ones are just MP3 like I have done. I just recorded the voiceovers, and then placed them next to the songs. Nothing that hard reallyy

TakeWarning 10-13-2005 09:12 AM

Sweet. Checkin it out now.

Drop The Baby 10-13-2005 09:15 AM

Fox TV is a great song, i know that much. One of the best of The Fuse

I think it's the best off The Fuse actually, feels a lot more like old school Pennywise

Drop The Baby 10-13-2005 09:21 AM

Yeah, it's my favourite along with Knocked Down, the album opener

chumpradio 10-13-2005 09:25 AM

I'm just listening now. Up to "Bang, Bang".
You're voice is just like this kid who I did work experience with.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 09:26 AM

Haha, cool stuff Kif :D

Untitled 10-13-2005 11:27 AM

I cant listen to it, its not loading for some reason, the other songs on your p/v are loading though. ah well. Ill download it shortly.

Dead Star 10-13-2005 12:45 PM

Its not loading for me either.

:upset:

Kif 10-13-2005 01:16 PM

It might just take a while to load, since it is about 20 minutes long. You could download it if you wanted...

Hump-Backed-Tortoise 10-13-2005 01:31 PM

Thats pretty cool I didn't know you could do that nice taste in music to.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-13-2005 01:42 PM

It loaded for me straight away :D

Sexy voice...

Agent_Orange 10-14-2005 07:27 AM

Dude that was cool. I want my own podcast.

/thinks

DepthsOfDreams555 10-14-2005 08:05 AM

That was tight Kif good job, I love P!ATD, I didn't know anyone could just make their own podcast. Was it complicated?

Kif 10-14-2005 08:08 AM
That was tight Kif good job, I love P!ATD, I didn't know anyone could just make their own podcast. Was it complicated?
Not really, you just need a multitrack program like Cool Edit Pro, a mic and some songs. Record the bits between the songs, then insert them in a new session, and overlap the songs. Not that complicated at all

DepthsOfDreams555 10-14-2005 08:09 AM

Ya it seems okay I don't have any of that equipment though so I couldn't do one if I wanted too haha....it was really cool though nice job!

Mute Print 10-14-2005 01:30 PM

Nice job, Kif. I'll have to give it a listen in a little while, after I'm done listening to Mae.

FauxApathy 10-14-2005 02:12 PM

I liked the actual songs, but your voice bothers me..

I'd never heard of Panic! before, they are quite good.

Its a shame that you dont have copyright of those songs and you could get in lots of trouble.....

Ace 10-14-2005 09:38 PM

1st off, way to go Kif thats awesome
2nd, 10571z, I didn't here you complain when the Yousendit thread was around.

chumpradio 10-15-2005 02:36 AM
Its a shame that you dont have copyright of those songs and you could get in lots of trouble.....
It's also a shame that SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Kif isn't going to get in trouble for making a podcast with 5 copyrighted songs on, you stupid little faggot. Trying to be smart really doesn't work unless you actually are smart.

Kif 10-15-2005 02:52 AM
Its a shame that you dont have copyright of those songs and you could get in lots of trouble.....
Most of these songs were from Purevolume anyway

Solar 10-15-2005 04:27 AM

British Accents are so prissy

Nice work though Kifster.

The Musician 10-16-2005 01:59 AM

Whoa you're British.

DJ Ducksauce 10-17-2005 08:48 PM

I keep forgetting Kif is a brit. Is Cool Edit Pro free?

Kif 10-20-2005 09:42 AM

It's free if you can find the keygen/patch/crack :thumb:

Second podcast is up, this time it's a little different. It's 9 songs long, but it's split into 3 parts, so you don't have to listen to it all to get to songs you want to hear or songs you might think you like. Still, all 3 parts are downloadable so you could listen to them in a playlist if you wanted.

Tracklisting:
Thrice - "The Earth Will Shake"
Chiodos - "There's No Penguins In Alaska"
Lagwagon - "Automatic"

Allister - "The Legend of Pegleg Sullivan"
The Receiving End Of Sirens - "Planning A Prison Break"
Hidden In Plain View - "Ashes, Ashes"

Kevin Devine - "Buried By The Buzz"
NOFX - "Stickin' In My Eye"
Say Anything - "Metal Now"

NOTE: All of these songs are available to stream on Myspace/Purevolume/Whatever, except Allister and Say Anything.
