any know if they plan to tour again? I last saw them warped tour '02 :upset:

bassisbest 10-05-2005 10:16 AM

Fat Mike is enjoying fatherhood right now. I last heard a new album would be made next year so I would expect them to tour then. They play some random festivals now and again though.

wow he's a dad.... last i heard from them the fact that he and his wife didn't have children is why they have such a good marriage haha... hope they do make that new album

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 10-05-2005 12:44 PM

They've been touring a lot lately. Doing small tours around in different places. I think they're going to japan or something soon and the new album is supposed to come out in the spring.

Rootsradical 10-05-2005 12:53 PM

I hope they tour again soon too. They are pretty entertaining live.

angryyoungandpoor 10-05-2005 02:59 PM

i saw them last year at warped. hilarious and pretty good live compared to live videos of them ive seen.

smokersdieyounger 10-05-2005 03:28 PM

I must see them before they split or I realise how bad they are!

dropkickstreetpunk2 10-05-2005 03:42 PM

Hopefully not.

im not punk 10-05-2005 04:11 PM

I think I said something. Hopefully not indicates a few things
1. I don't like NOFX that much.
2. I don't want them to tour.
3. I don't want to hear of them.

Well that's a stupid reason to post in a thread about them.

I hope they tour. I would like to see them a lot, because they got me into the wonderful genre we call punk and I've wanted to see them ever since I heard PUTV.

grunge_lives_on75 10-05-2005 07:23 PM

they dont come to michigan on the warped tour, its kinda gay, ive been wanting to see them for a couple years

LinkinParkSucks 10-05-2005 07:37 PM

And this isn't a NOFX bashing thread, because that would be against the rules. Therefore, you don't post that stuff.

im not punk 10-05-2005 08:15 PM

does anyone else have some of their new 7 in.'s

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 08:17 PM

I'm sure he's allowed to hate them just as much as you like them. There's no point having threads if all we do is lick a band's collective arsehole.

NOFX are alright. They seem to be a pretty good introductory band, judging by the number of people who say they were the first punk band the listened to. I don't like NOFX's music a whole bunch, but Fat Mike is one of my idol/role models. Start a punk band, make enough money to start a record label, sign hundreds of punk bands. He's a legend. (That post is serious, by the way, I'm not being sarcastic) (crap, saying I'm not being sarcastic sounds even more sarcastic).

i agree 100% with that post

lets make love

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 09:28 PM

Only if it's sweet sweet love.

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 09:32 PM

When I saw them some guy hit Mike in the head with a baggy of weed, his reaction was really funny.

"Hey, someone threw something at m-...is that weed? It is!"

NOFX are decent.

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 09:36 PM

Same kinda thing happened to Frenzal Rhomb over here. People chucking joints at Jay so he scooped them all up, shouted into the mike "thanks, but I haven't got a lighter". So straight away he gets pelted with about 500 bics.

angryyoungandpoor 10-05-2005 09:51 PM

"quit spitting on me. come on quit it im not that punk"

trunks_punk 10-05-2005 09:56 PM

"last night they threw ice, tonight they're throwing lit ciggarettes, thats not cool"

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 10:14 PM

Nick Cave used to catch peoples lit fags in his hair, he's so cool. I hope I get to gob on Iggy in February. I know a guy who knows a guy who got gobbed on by Sid Vicious. He's still got the dried up goober on the lapel of the jacket where it hit him.

MrClean 10-06-2005 08:49 AM

Mmmm.. NoFX.. not a real big fan of them, just don't like them that much..

btw, a part of the European Me First And The Gimme Gimmes tour was cancelled, cuz Fat Mike's mom had cancer

anarchist/prostitute 10-06-2005 09:42 AM

i'm a fan of hefe's guitar work.... mikes voice fits the music well. I don't think I'd consider them a 'my first punk band' kind of thing.... green day fits that description much more I think.

Drop The Baby 10-06-2005 09:44 AM

well obviously that's a personal thing isn't it, when he said NOFX are a lot of people's first punk bands he didn't mean everyone had to fit the description.

NOFX are f'ucking great.

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 10-06-2005 10:39 AM

They toured Canada in June. They played the whole Decline live at about 6 different shows along with a full set of songs. Someone also asked if anyone had the 7" club songs...yes i have them all.

Skidmark Steve 10-06-2005 12:47 PM

NOFX loves canada now
