Music Trading Thread

So as this is the greatest forum i think we should have one of these. as most of the other ones do.

Everyone post their music and their AIM address, and any CD's that they want in particular. Someone will then add you and ask for the music :thumb:

Kif 03-08-2005 01:30 PM

You want me to post my CD collection? Along with Jon, this is going to get crazy.

Put it this way. If you need hooking up with advance albums, let me know

Rancid Dan 03-08-2005 01:45 PM

??????

Advance albums ?

El_Shiznit 03-08-2005 01:48 PM
Advance albums ?
Albums that haven't been actually released yet.

I still say Soulseek is better than AIM for music. Do any of you use Soulseek at all?

Rancid Dan 03-08-2005 01:54 PM

No, this would be good as you would know, who's getting your music/giving you music.

El_Shiznit 03-08-2005 01:59 PM

It would be bad because I only have AIM on my phone.

1.) In Soulseek, you can set it to where only people you know can get to your music.
2.) In Soulseek, you can create rooms where you can interact with people only you know. For example, I go in the room "Soulseek Punx" because that's where the people I know from the MX Punk forum are. No one else but people from the forum are there. You can interact and get files from them straight from there.
3.) In Soulseek, you can see all the albums you have downloaded instead of typing them all out here.

Well, I just find it more productive than AIM.

Rancid Dan 03-08-2005 02:00 PM

For gods sake, i thought this would work and be good, you don't have to use it if you don't want to :upset:

El_Shiznit 03-08-2005 02:01 PM

It can work. Just sharing my opinion. I shall leave now.........

Gnarmageddon 03-08-2005 03:09 PM
ok, and how do i get it? and how much room does it take up?
It doesn't take up too much space.

http://www.aim.com

There's a link to download it there. If you get it and want to put some use to it, you can IM (instant message) me - the ska zombie. :thumb:

If you need any help using it, just ask.

superpeer 03-08-2005 03:50 PM

I doubt anyone would want something from my collection, but just in case.

That colection kicks ***. Serioiusly.

Gnarmageddon 03-08-2005 03:54 PM
Do you have any ska albums you might be willing to share?
Not really. I haven't been out to buy many CD's, and I'm just starting to get into ska. All I have is a Catch 22 CD, and a mix that I made of some songs that I downloaded.

PS - I don't keep my CD's on my computer because my laptop doesn't have enough memory. I posted my collection in the one thread, if someone can find it. If I have a CD that you want, I can copy it to my computer and try to send it.

WorryRocker921 03-08-2005 03:58 PM

Yeah I would deffenitly like to have the NOFX, Operation Ivy, Rancid, and Bad Religion ones that would be great.

Gnarmageddon 03-08-2005 04:25 PM

I found the thread.

Jesus man... full albums? I do a few songs here and there on MSN, but... not whole albums. It'd take too much time.

I have an album from most bands on my myspace.

http://profiles.myspace.com/users/11825883

Most, not all though.

As for trading, I'm looking for anything that I haven't heard of, really. Preferably acoustic or post-hardcore, but I'm not too picky.

Enjoy kiddypoos.

Note: I can download many CDs off the network at school at 10 mb/s, so ask even if I don't have it in that list if it's pretty popular.

OK, I can't really get involved with this, annoyingly, as the university computers are stupid and won't let you do much, and I don't have int0rweb at home. But, here are my CDs anyway:

Rancid Dan 03-09-2005 10:41 AM

Nice one, this is working.

Whenever i'm on MX i will ALWAYS be on AIM so talk to or ask for one of my CD's.

billiejoe84 03-09-2005 10:48 AM

Dan, do you have MSN or Yahoo messaging thingies? I don't have AIM, annoyingly.
