I didnt see a Children of Bodom thread so i decided to make one myself. If you want to talk about this amazing band then this is the place to do it. Lets get the ball rolling.

I was wondering. I want to buy a cob album, Follow The Reaper or Hatebreeder? I am leaning toward Hatebreeder at the moment.

Every CoB song ever made is amazing. They are the greatest band around IMO.

Black Widow is my favorite song by them. That said the whole Follow The Reaper album is good too.

YES! Hatebreeder all the way. It is an amazing album. One of my favorites.

...are all great headbanging material, I think Alexi goes a bit overboard with the length of his solos. They kick *** for a while, and then get a bit monotnous

what are you talking about? his solos should be longer, if anything. the keyboard solos are longer than the guitar solos, and still everything fits the song perfectly. the dual leads are just amazing too.

and my fav song would have to be needled 24/7

i love the guitar intro, and how the solo modulates and goes so dissonant

They're OK. I have Follow the Reaper. Great album, but I don't feel the need to dive deep into them.

Wintersun is better..

Used to love the band, now i'm bored stiff with them.

Very very uninteresting and tiresome imo.

you people think hatebreeder is better then follow the reaper? i have something wild, follow the reaper, hate crew deathroll, trashed lost and strungout, and i wanna get the rest. i was deciding between something wild and hatebreeder and then they didnt even have hatebreeder so whatever. but eya follow the reaper is awesome, and i like hate crew deathroll a lot. needled 24/7 is one of my favorite songs

I love this band...one of my favorites.
Kalmah edges them out a little in musical ability, but COB just writes more catchy songs IMO.

Hatebreeder is an awesome album. Their new album is called "Are You Dead Yet" and their first single is "In Your Face", which both sound......retarded? But I'm getting the album anyway.

I wouldn't say Kalmah even comes close in musical ability.

except everyone is always dissin him cus he said dream theater was lame in some guitar magazine but i think cob is way better than them i dont care if petrucci is still better than laiho
