what do you guys think of cradle of filth? i just listened to dusk and her embrace and i was blown away..i cant really listen to too much of them in one sitting haha..but i think they are extremely talented.

Nymphetamine has a killer chorus.

That's the only good thing I've ever found in any of their music.

Might as well have titled this "Nymphetamine" because that's the only thing that they've done that has much value to it.

Yeah, theres so many posters that I get mad when I make a thread and in a minute it doesn't have any replies.

I have a mild liking for them. Except for when the singer just won't shut the [b]fu[/b][b]ck[/b] up. His voice annoys the bejesus out of me.

i reallly like COF they're quickly becoming one of my favourite bands. i bought tickets for a COF concert a while ago but i was mainly going to see arch enemy but now im really excited to see both AE and COF

I am just going to say I love Cradle Of Filth, and I frankly don't care if you detest my taste in music. I have gotten sick of trying to defend them from the mindless "l0OLsz! cradle is teh suxx0rsz! l00l!" type of comments.

cradle of filth is a decent band far from the best but the music has some substance to it.

Cradle of Filth are a wicked awsome band and Dani has an incredible voice. Cruelty and the Beast is a brilliant album.

Cradle is a awesome band, and Dani..well he has an amazing voice.

I'm headed to the Headbangers Ball tour in ONE WEEK! F'uckin rights! (and by the way Nymphetamine is definately not their best song and their most talented album. I really love it, but you have to appreciate the older music too. It rocks my socks.)

To each their own, but I can't stand that cd. The title track is the only one I can actually listen to. They've been steadily going downhill since Midian.

My cousin has been driving their music into my head for years now, and still nothing has totally clicked! I like some of their stuff, but most of the time I get bored and annoyed. The old stuff was much better.

I'm glad you heard Dusk and Her Embrace first. That is where the black metal still existed. I dig it all, just this new one so much.. just not my kinda music.

I had the impression just about everyone at mx hated them.

I find that the reason some have trouble understanding CoF is on 2 things: vocals and lyrics. Indeed I appreciate their early work, but I am personaly grateful Dani expanded his vocal capabilities, rather than sticking to a single repetitive vocal key and half-growl, half-yell. Had he the band wouldn't have gone far after The Priciple's of Evil Made Flesh. For those who don't understand pick up Principle's, listen and you'll get my point. Now on the lyrics spectum, Dani's subject matter changes with each song and/or album. Most of the inspiration comes from from events/people/things he has read about and studied, some based on fact,factual, and fiction information. ****ation's focus was of Lucifer's expultion from Heaven and what he experienced in the aftermath, Cruelty was based around the life of the Hungarian Countes Elizabeth Bathory, after which she was believed to have been transformed to a vampire, and history has a rather brutal memory of her deads in the search for eternal youth, Principle's,Dusk, Midian, and Suciubi are mosty based upon myths and legends he read about, and I believe a few on some true incidents. Who knows. Anyone wishing to further pursue looking for the motive for his lyrics, study and memorize names mentioned, go into a search engine and type in the names and see what you come up with, and if you really want to shine this new insight then put it in this forum so mabye people willl come to understand and maybe even appreciate the past and Cof. Hopefully this will stop some people blindly critizing CoF until they actually know what the hell there talking about, then say what they want.

his influences are H.P LOVECRAFT novels which are amazingly good horror stories
and his skin is makeup not surgery the dvd [B]heavy, left handed and candid [/B] shows cof behind the scenes and it is the ****ing funniest thing ever
